Is Synthetic Rattan more Environmentally Friendly than Natural Wicker?

Sometimes it can be confusing to understand what is environmentally friendly and what is not. Some assume that anything that is natural is automatically environmentally friendly and anything that is not natural will not be. This is not necessarily the case as you will see with synthetic rattan that is used to make all of our furniture at Babmar.

Synthetic Rattan is made of a resin material that is durable, fade resistant and that will last for many years. While more energy may go into its creating than natural rattan, once it is made it lasts much longer than the natural material does, which deteriorates over time. Synthetic rattan is also recyclable which means that it will not end up in a landfill like your old set of natural rattan furniture did.
